In the last few weeks at Incrowd, I’ve been working on a chat application, enabling our users to instant message each other through the website via a web-based chat client. Many of our users requested for a feature like this, and I hope it’s going where they were they’d like it to be … We’ve modestly been testing and pushing it at the dutch distribution of our Facebox community. Wanted to share with you a little demo I made earlier on …
I’m very much looking forward to keep working on this feature; because we’ve got loads of ideas … From the top of my hat I’d say ‘interoperability’, ‘group chat’ and ‘contact list management’.
Other interesting things I’ve been working on (and still am) are some internal tools (managing translations / managing configurations / a testing suite and a moderation tool), the implementation of web feeds and tons of bug fixing, little improvements and fine tuning.
Working at Incrowd has been very interesting and amusing, on a technical and professional level (load! stability! performance!) as well as on a personal level, by being part of a great and inspiring team.
Some usage stats behind the jump …
